Online Poker Attack Case Continuance

Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear is trying to seize online poker room domain names, claiming they are hurting his state’s gambling properties, and the court case where the issue is being heard was granted a continuance. The judge issued the continuance to allow the defense attorneys – those representing the online poker rooms – a chance to prepare their arguments. The lawyers represent 141 websites named in the lawsuit…

Party Poker Den Three

For the third year online poker room Party Poker is hosting the Party Poker Den, a thirty six hour cash game poker marathon with some of the biggest names in poker. Timed to coincide with the World Series of Poker Europe running now in London, the Party Poker Den III starts today and will run for thirty six hours. David Ulliott, Robert Williamson III, David Williams and more will play a high stakes game of no limit Texas Holdem cash poker, each putting up $10k to play, with blinds at $25 and $50.

Police Raid Poker Conference in Spain

The Casino Affiliate Programs poker tournament was in full swing with the police stopped by, and they were not interested in taking a seat and drawing some cards. The Barcelona police raided the Hotel Princesa and started shutting down the conference, where former World Series of Poker champ Jamie Gold was scheduled to hold a poker clinic. The reason for the raid is not clear, but all the gambling equipment was confiscated and the organizers of the CAP program were detained…

Pros Rise and Fall at WSOPE

The second annual World Series of Poker Europe is running its main event now in London, and many pros from around the world are competing for the cash and glory won last year by young pro Annette Obrestad. With big guns like Phil Hellmuth, Joe Hachem, Howard Lederer, David Benyamine and Mike Matusow in the filed, it was inevitable that some would fall and some would make their way to the end of the day. By the end of the day the chip leaders included some of those names, like Matusow, and a few more like Andy Bloch and Scott Fischman.
